End of Life (EOL)
Products reach EOL for a number of reasons including changing market demands, technology innovation and development driving changes in the product, etc.
While this is an established part of a product life cycle, Hornetsecurity recognizes that EOL dates must be clearly stated to allow our customers to plan accordingly with your business operations.
The EOL policy guidelines for Hornetsecurity products are as follows...
End-of-Sale Date
This refers to the last date the product will be available for purchase. After this date, the product is no longer available for general commercial sale or availability.
The End-of-Sale Date for a major release is reached when Hornetsecurity makes the next major release of the product commercially available on the Hornetsecurity website.
End-of-Technical Life
This refers to the date following which the Hornetsecurity product is not improved, repaired, maintained, or supported.
The End-of-Technical Life for a major release is reached 12 months following the End-of-Sale Date of an Hornetsecurity product.
NOTES:
Support is not tied to a specific product version. If necessary to resolve a reported problem, customers may be required to upgrade to the latest version if they are running an unsupported version while still under Maintenance. In cases of significant changes to a product's technical architecture, Hornetsecurity reserves the right to end-of-life that product within 90 days.
