Example Use Cases

The example use cases documented in this guide describe how to make use of the VM Backup API. A prerequisite for any of the use cases is to have a valid API session open. Opening and Closing of API sessions has already been covered in the Getting Started section and hence, the following use cases will assume that the user already has a valid SessionToken at their disposal.

 

A sample SessionToken will be used throughout these use cases, which is going to be the following:

Base URLs are required depending on the version of VM Backup being used. <base_url> for each version is:

V8.x: http://localhost:35113/api

V9.0.x: http://localhost:36015/api

V9.1.x: http://localhost:36013/api/rest
